Dr. O’Leary’s aviation experience began in 1992. After flight training, he received his MBA from Bentley University. After completing graduate school, he joined Hawker Beechcraft Company (HBC) in Wichita, KS. At HBC, he began his career as a market research analyst and was quickly promoted to trade analyst. He was then asked to join the company’s start-up fractional jet provider, Travel Air as a Sales Manager. Kevin earned recognition as the nation’s top salesman in his division in 1997, receiving both the Chairman’s and President’s Awards.
Kevin was then asked to join a start-up fractional jet venture, Flight Options. He went on to sell over 400 shares in the Flight Options program, generating over 250 Million in revenue.
Throughout his career, Kevin recognized the need for aircraft buyers to have access to objective aviation research therefore; in 2003, he started a new type of aviation advisory firm based on objective data and named it Jet Advisors, LLC. On behalf of their clients, Jet Advisors combines world class research with proven statistical modeling to identify trends that help clients make informed business aviation decisions.
Kevin is a native of the Boston, MA area and currently resides with his wife and three children close to the company headquarters at Hanscom Field (KBED) in Bedford, MA. In 2016, he completed his Ph.D. in Aviation Operations at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He is a pilot and holds a commercial/multi-engine instrument rating and is a Senior Accredited Appraiser with the American Society of Appraisers (ASA). Kevin is also a developer and a patent holder for Private Jet Index®, a multi-attribute decision model designed to assist buyers in selecting the optimum aircraft for their needs.
